Social Activities

Dear IKAA Gathering 2007 Participant,

Welcome to the city of Seoul! For your convenience, we have compiled a short list of bars and cafes near the Sofitel which are inexpensive and look like they would be fun places to hang out. Each evening you can meet many of the participants in this area, you can socialize with old friends, people you’ve met and meet other participants.

All bars listed below are situated very close to each other (1-2 minutes walk) and only a 5 minute walk from the Sofitel. We have designated one particular bar per evening as the main meeting spot, so you can be sure to find other participants there. For Thursday we have reserved a karaoke bar for Gathering participants.

Directions:

Walk in the direction of the subway station (Dongkuk University, Orange Line #3), cross the street and follow the road down to the left. On the corner of the subway station, you will see “Red Mango” on your left. Follow that road with the food vendors on your right. After 2 minutes you will see Baskin Robbins on your right on the corner. From there, all bars are very close and easy to find.
