Getting There

TRAVELING BETWEEN NYC AIRPORTS AND MANHATTAN
LaGuardia (LGA), John F. Kennedy International (JFK), Newark International - New Jersey (EWR)

SuperShuttle: http://www.supershuttle.com/ (+1 800 258 3826)

SuperShuttle is a shared van service between many U.S. airports and the local cities.

LGA: Fee per passenger is USD 16 each way and does NOT include tip.
JFK: Fee per passenger is USD 19 each way and does NOT include tip.
EWR: Fee per passenger is USD 19 each way and does NOT include tip.

Both one-way and round-trip reservations can be made online at their website or by phone and paid by credit card (American Express, Visa, Mastercard).

You can also use the “Ground Transportation” service phones located in LGA, JFK and EWR to call SuperShuttle without a reservation once you have picked up your luggage, but this may result in longer wait times.

SuperShuttle is the most economical choice for one or two travelers, but if you are traveling with more than 2 people, it will probably be less expensive to take a taxi or car service.

Carmel Car Service: http://www.carmellimo.com/Airports.shtml (+1 212 666 6666)
Dial 7 Car Service: http://www.dial7.com/ (+1 212 777 7777)

Carmel and Dial 7 are the two most popular car service companies in New York City. The rates vary and are cheaper from the airport to Manhattan than from Manhattan to the airport. The rates are also different for JFK and EWR. They both offer online booking discounts and prices range from USD 40 – USD 55. Fares will be a little lower between LGA and Manhattan. Tolls and trip are NOT included.

You can also call these car services from the “Ground Transportation” service phones from the airports.

NYC Yellow Taxi Flat Fare (JFK Only) - From JFK, the NYC Taxi & Limousine Commission offers a flat fare or USD 45, NOT including tip or tolls. There are taxi stands located outside each terminal at JFK. There is also a stand for NYC Yellow Taxis outside of LGA, but there is no flat fare and your trip will be calculated by the regular meter. As EWR is actually located in New Jersey, most of the taxis outside EWR are New Jersey taxis (they may also be yellow) and may or may not go into the city.

AirTrain (EWR Only) – From EWR, there are trains that go to Penn (Pennsylvania) Station in Manhattan, which is across the street from the Hotel Pennsylvania. The fare is USD 15 each way.
