1. WHO CAN REGISTER?

Korean adoptees 18 years and older.
Their spouses/partners and their children.

Please note that for age limit for drinking and clubbing is 21 or older.

2. CONFERENCE FEE

The registration fee includes:

  • Conference materials
  • Thursday Evening Welcome Reception
  • All workshops and sessions on Friday and Saturday
  • Lunch on Friday
  • Transportation to the Gala Dinner
  • Saturday Night Gala Dinner (Includes a buffet Korean dinner, dessert, and full open bar)

(The registration fee does not include accommodation, airfare, transfers to and from the airport).

Registration before February 27, 2009:
$110 USD (88 EUR) per person (12 years and older)
$60 USD (49 EUR) per person (under 12 years old)

Registration from February 28 to March 20, 2009:
$135 USD (108 EUR) per person
(12 years and older)
$75 USD (62 EUR) per person (under 12 years old)

Registration from March 21 to April 10, 2009:
$160 USD (125 EUR) per person (12 years and older)

$95 USD (77 EUR) per person (under 12 years old)

* There is no fee for children ages 2 and under.

3. HOW TO REGISTER?

1) Go to the "Registration" page and add to the shopping cart (the number can be changed in the shopping cart).

2) Go to "Shoppingcart" page and confirm your order.

3) If you already have an account:
- log in with your username and password.

4)  If you do not have an account, you will be asked to sign up for one. Once you have your account and password, continue registration by logging in.

5) Enter the invoice address and email

6) Enter your preferred payment method : 1) Check  2) Bank transfer  or  3) PayPal
Please note that a processing fee is added to the bank transfer and Paypal options (cf. Payment options).

7) Confirm your order

8) Once you have completed and submitted your online registration form, you will receive an automated confirmation: “Your order has been saved”. If you do NOT receive this message at the end, your order may not have been registered. Please contact the registration committee.

Please note: If you pay by PayPal you will be directed to the PayPal website. After you have completed the transaction you will be returned to our website. Make sure you press the "Return to Merchant" button when you complete the PayPal transaction. This will make sure that you receive a confirmation e-mail message.

9) You will receive an official confirmation email from the Registration Committee within 2 business days. If you do not receive an email from the Registration Committee after 2 business days, please contact: registration@ikaa.org.

Please note: Registration is not complete until payment has been received.

4. DEADLINE: 

April 10, 2009.
All registrations are subject to availability and will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

5. PAYMENT OPTIONS:

Payment for the conference can be made by the following 3 methods:

Participants who do not have USD checks may buy International Money Order checks. Contact your bank for more information.

A $10 USD processing fee will be added to each transaction.

3) PayPal
2.9% + 0,3 cents of the registered amount will be added as a processing fee.
To use PayPal you have to create an account with PayPal: www.paypal.com.
It is possible to pay by credit card through the PayPal account.

6. REFUND POLICY

Prior to March 6, 2009, it is possible to cancel the registration and receive a refund, minus a non-refundable $25 processing fee per person. After March 6, 2009, there will be no refunds.
Refunds must be requested in writing or by email to registration@ikaa.org - no refunds will be made online.

7. GENERAL TERMS

Each Gathering participant should take responsibility for preparing themselves to travel to New York City and make sure to have their own travel insurance, as IKAA is not responsible for travel liabilities.

International participants should make sure to have/obtain a current passport and check with their local embassy to see what type of visa - if any - is required for traveling to the United States.
