LIT Gathering
International Korean Adoptee Associations (IKAA) announces the first LIT Gathering bringing together adopted Korean voices in literary celebration.
Within the adoptee community, our writing serves a significant role in sharing how we give voice to and make meaning from our unique experiences. In the past twenty years, our literature has blossomed beyond community anthologies to include a broad range of genres that have enjoyed worldwide public reception. Whether about or only arising from adopted Korean experiences, the literary output of adopted Koreans continues to attract critical attention and to receive significant awards and prizes for literature.
The LIT Gathering seeks to celebrate the writing of all adopted Koreans who are either emerging or published and to showcase some of the books that our community has recently produced.
