Online Job Interview

Invitation to Online Job Interview with Contact Korea

Due to the advance of globalization, borders between nations are collapsing and movements of capital, technology and labor force have been accelerated. To survive this globally intense competition, highly qualified human resources are indispensable. As a result, many countries across the globe are in fierce competition with each other for top talent, since human resources are at the core of national competitiveness and for Korea, a country lacking abundant natural resources, the most precious assets.

In light of its manufacturing strength, Korea has previously focused on recruiting an unskilled labor force from overseas to solve the country's chronic labor shortage. Korea has, however, had a less-than-outstanding record in attracting global talent in spite of the increasing domestic demand.

As of the end of 2007, professional specialists from overseas in Korea accounted for only 6.1% of all foreign workers in Korea. If language teachers are excluded from this figure, the percentage drops to 2.4%. Compared to 41.1% in the United States and 35.8% in Canada, that number is very low. To this end, the Korean government has established Contact KOREA to help attract highly specialized human resources.

Contact Korea has designated 40 Korea Business Centers (KBCs), including Netherlands, in 29 countries as overseas centers for attracting and supporting professional human resources. In cooperation with governmental and related organizations, Contact KOREA fully supports Korean companies wishing to attract foreign professionals.

With that in mind, Korea Business Center Amsterdam would like to take this occasion to formally invite you to "Online Job Interview", scheduled for August 7th at the IKAA Gathering.

A host of Korean companies such as Kia Motors, LS Cable has been closely working with Contact Korea, and are more than willing to recruit highly-skilled human resources. Hence, applicants at this unique event will gain keen insight into the real opportunities to work in Korea along with superbly organized IKAA workshop.

With pre-submitted resume, applicants will have an one-on-one online interview with potential Korean employer, subject to match-making and interest from both parties.

On behalf of the Korean Government, Korea Business Center Amsterdam, I would like to thank you in advance for your interest in Contact Korea and very much look forward to welcoming you to this event so that you, too, can see for yourself just what opportunities are lying there to be taken.
